The district has worked with the city and a traffic consultant to find a better way to route traffic for pickup and drop-off on the southeast side of the campus.
The angled parking near the playground has been replaced by a pick-up / drop off lane. There will be no parking in this area. The streets in this area have been changed to a one-way flow west on 5th street and south on Monroe street. This will create a safer environment for students and will also allow for more parking. Angled parking is being added in many areas and a handicap parking stall and ramp has been added in front of the library.
The bus parking has been moved to the parking lot near the library. The north half of that lot will still be used for car parking, but the lot will have one-way traffic flow so cars must enter from the alley.
