Keeping students and staff members safe on our school campus is of utmost concern. Listed below are some measures that the district has taken to ensure a safe school campus.
- Controlled entry – all exterior doors locked except for office entrances
- Keycard (fob) entry system – electronic locks
- Video surveillance system
- Classroom doors that lock from the inside without a key
- Phones in all classrooms
- Annual CPR/AED/First Aid Training for staff
- Safe Defend system and training (SafeDefend Parent Information Sheet)
- Crisis bags in every classroom
- Crisis plan – Standard Response Protocol – Run/Hide/Fight
- Canine safety sweeps several times per year
- Other measures not disclosed publicly
